Award winning author Jo Walton talks about her Thessaly series of novels - in which a version of Plato's Republic is actually created. She discusses using multiple point of view characters, using classical gods as characters, dealing with the moral questions surrounding slavery - and, of course, sentient robots. • This interview was conducted on May 28, 2016, in association with the Balticon 50 science fiction convention. It was originally shown as part of episode #290 of Fast Forward: Contemporary Science Fiction, first released in April of 2017.
