Greenbelt is a shopping mall in Makati owned by Ayala Malls, a real-estate subsidiary of Ayala Land. Greenbelt was built around a 250,000-square-meter retail complex, with the mall merging the previous small arcades and shops, conceptualizing the new Greenbelt as the Philippines's first lifestyle center with bars, posh boutiques, lush tropical greenery, a world-class museum, and an elegant chapel. • Greenbelt 1 first opened to the public in 1988 as one of the Ayala Corporation's flagship projects. But now has 5 sections. Greenbelt 1 was renovated in 2001, and as the complex grew, Greenbelt 2 and 3 were opened in 2002, with Greenbelt 4 opening in 2004 and Greenbelt 5 in 2007. • In 2019 the ground level of Greenbelt 3 closed in 2019 for renovation, with The new area reopening in October 2021, which now hosts luxury labels and a newly-renovated Starbucks Reserve cafe. Greenbelt 4 started its renovation works in the third quarter of 2022 and reopened on April 2023. • Greenbelt offers a mix of high-end retail shops, restaurants, amenities, leisure and entertainment. • I’ve always fancied checking out Makati.
