Greenbelt is a shopping mall in Makati owned by Ayala Malls, a real-estate subsidiary of Ayala Land. Greenbelt was built around a 250,000-square-meter retail complex, with the mall merging the previous small arcades and shops, conceptualizing the new Greenbelt as the Philippines's first lifestyle center with bars, posh boutiques, lush tropical greenery, a world-class museum, and an elegant chapel. • Greenbelt 1 first opened to the public in 1988 as one of the Ayala Corporation's flagship projects. But now has 5 sections. Greenbelt 1 was renovated in 2001, and as the complex grew, Greenbelt 2 and 3 were opened in 2002, with Greenbelt 4 opening in 2004 and Greenbelt 5 in 2007. • In 2019 the ground level of Greenbelt 3 closed in 2019 for renovation, with The new area reopening in October 2021, which now hosts luxury labels and a newly-renovated Starbucks Reserve cafe. Greenbelt 4 started its renovation works in the third quarter of 2022 and reopened on April 2023. • Greenbelt offers a mix of high-end retail shops, restaurants, amenities, leisure and entertainment. • I’ve always fancied checking out Makati. Condos in Makati are expensive too. I’d recently completed 3 years in Cebu, before travelling for 10 weeks in Vietnam and Malaysia. But I was missing those daily interactions you have in the Philippines which I hadn’t been having in Vietnam or Malaysia. • You can only really have those connections in the Philippines. I made up my mind pretty quickly and booked a flight to Manila 5 days ahead. • Foreigners can live in the Philippines for 3 years without leaving on a Tourist Visa. You just need to renew every 2 or 6 months for a maximum of 3 years before needing to leave the country. What is the big attraction to living in the Philippines? What does the Philippine have that other countries don't have? Why live or retire to the Philippines? Why choose a big Asian city such as Manila rather than live in the province? How do people/retirees spend their time? Retiring in Asia, how would you spend your remaining time on earth? • Low cost of living, diversity, culture, weather, food, scenery, long visas entice foreigners to live in the Philippines. Filipinos are welcome and warm people. Filipinos are often regarded as the most friendliest nation in Asia and nicest people in the world. English is widely spoken throughout the country. The Philippines is included in the top ten English speaking countries in the world. The majority of Filipinos are highly proficient in English, so it is very easy to strike up a conversation and make new friends, but so last century. When you're there you feel like you're stuck in an 80s/90s time warp with the old skool music blaring out and the outdated infrastructure. • Manila is a vibrant Asian city and favorite travel destination in Asia. Cebu has the best of both world - combining the city life of shopping malls and nightlife with beaches and paradise islands. The Philippines should be on everyone’s bucket list with its beautiful white sand beaches, fabulous idyllic islands, turquoise sea and stunning scenery. The Philippines is a traveller’s paradise and regularly included in top ten favorite places to visit in Asia and affordable, favorite world holiday destination. • Many foreigners/expats choose the Philippines as the best country to retire in Asia and live in paradise. The Philippines is one of the cheapest countries to live in the world with its low cost of living and all year sunshine. Retiring in the Philippines is affordable on a budget of around $800 pcm. • EQUIPMENT USED: • Canon Sureshot G7X Mark II. • Recorded at 60fps at 1080p resolution. • SUPPORT MY CHANNEL: • https://ko-fi.com/biggworldcinema • https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/BiggW... • SOCIAL MEDIA: •   / biggworldcinema   •   / biggworldcinema   •   / bigg_world_cinema   • https://t.me/BiggWorldCinema (Telegram) • PHOTOGRAPHS FOR LICENSE OR SALE: • https://www.alamy.com/portfolio/phili... • COLOUR BARS TESTCARD: • https://vidfy.com/video/tv-noise-0212... • MUSIC KINDLY SUPPLIED BY: • Artist: TrackTribe • Song: I had a Feeling • Song: Dream It • Licensed to YouTube by YouTube Audio Library • CURRENT SUBSCRIBER COUNT: 7,744 • #makati • #manila • #philippines
