*From the unabridged edition of Stan Hugill's SHANTIES FROM THE SEVEN SEAS (1961). • One of my favorite chanties. • This version of Lowlands Away is not all that different from Hugill's version(s) A, having the same tune and not too different lyrics. Perhaps this semi-redundancy explains why it was omitted from the modern abridged edition.
