Occultists explain this word as the bridge between the higher and lower manas or between the spiritual self and personal soul of man. Such is H. P. Blavatsky's definition. Man is a microcosm, therefore a unified composite, a unity in diversity; and the antahkarana is the link of vibrating consciousness-substance uniting the various centers. It is composed of three threads; life thread, and consciousness thread, which are both latent within the soul and the creative thread, which is built my the personality.
