http://peplers.blogspot.com Here's an overview of the tree felling we did this winter in our coppice woodland - all done using a Husqvarna 536LiXP electric battery chainsaw, which was mostly charged from our solar panels. 'Coppicing' involves cutting the trees such that they grow back the following year, so you don't need to replant. The trees are mainly used for firewood, stakes and fencing, as they are cut on a ~20 year rotation, so not many get big enough for other uses.
