Tilelook is a web community for design with tiles. On tilelook you can create and browse other user's designs, using many authentic tiles and furniture products. All the sections I will show you now contains content that you can use in our free design tool. • On the projects section you can see the latest uploaded designs by other users. By opening a project you can see the tiles that have been used, the tile layouts, objects and textures. You can also see the designer's information and jump to their profile. • The tiles section is where you can browse over 10.000 tiles. The search menu on the left lets you search by different criteria: producers/collections, formats type of room, color, material... or simply by text search • The layout section is where you can find all tile layouts and schemes created by other users during their design work. • The objects section lists all the 3D objects you can use in design. These include various furniture and accessories that you can add to your projects. As for tiles, the objects listed are authentic products which you can filter by different criteria using the search menu on the left. • The textures section is where you can find generic textures, like wood, stone, glass, or any kind of texture you need for your design details. • When you log in to your Tilelook account you can manage the information that will be shown on your profile page. This includes your name, address and contacts • To start designing click on the START NEW DESIGN button. this will take you to Tilelook's design tool launcher. By clicking on START you will launch the application, this could take a while and might require you to install or update JAVA on your computer. The application is kept up to date continuously, so by launching it from here you will make sure it's always up to date. • Once launched, the design tool will let you select the basic shape of the room you are designing. The room creation wizard will also let you insert windows and doors. Once you're happy with the basic shape you can change it as you like by acting on the blue and red grips, while viewing the result in 3D on the panel on the right using the right-click of the mouse. • To layout the tiles in your room click on the LAYOUT TILES tab. When clickin on the + icon you will open up a browser on the Tilelook website, in order to look for the tiles you need. Once found click on use in design to bring that tile to you project's workspace. This section lets you create simple, striped or custom patterns and place them on a room surface with a simple drag and drop. • Click on the Place Objects tab to open up this section. As before the + icon will open up the browser on Tilelook, this time to search for objects. After an object is inserted you can act on one of its grips (in blue) and attach it to a grip on the room (in brown). Of course there are other options to rotate and move the objects in the room. • On the Render tab you can move the 3D view in order to set a Camera to potograph you design from a specific viewpoint. After you chose a viewpoint, click on RENDER to render the scene... this may take some minutes. you can render as many cameras you want • Once you your project is complete you can finally see what tilelook is about. Click on save and upload your newly created project on Tilelook. This will appear on the project section and in your profile page, so that you can can share your work with others. Don't worry if your project is still not complete or with top designs, it won't be published straight away and you can always change it when you like • On Mytilelook you can manage your designs and their information, and also you can manage your custom design elements, such as tiles, objects and textures.
