Previously, the following basic requirements had to be fulfilled: • Green LED in the ECO button illuminated. • Engine hood closed. • Gearshift lever at N . • New as of 06/2009: driver door must be closed and driver must be belted in. • If the driver door is opened in ECO mode or the driver removes his or her seat belt, the engine starts up again. • New: The brake pedal no longer has to be held down for the engine to remain off. • Note, in order for the engine to stop: • The brake pedal has to have been depressed at a speed below 8 km/h. • Coasting to a stop is no longer sufficient on its own. • As of 06/2009, the engine is no longer forced to start when the A/C button is pressed. • The play protection function on the A/C control panel has been removed. • The maximum temperature of the comfortable range has been increased from 28 to 30 °C. • New: The ECO indicator on the instrument cluster indicates ... • ... that the system is ready to enter stop mode the next time the vehicle is stopped. • Previously, the ECO indicator only indicated: • The engine is already in stop mode. • =========================================================== • instagram: • / mbownersclub • twitter: • / mb_owners
