Hey, hey everyone and Welcome to the What Wood U Make Challenge! • This was a fun series of projects for me, even though I love Christmas, the Fall Mood is a close second, so I hope you're all as excited as I am for Fall Leaves, cool nights, and pumpkin weather! • First off, I turned a cutting board into a wall picture with a Temu butterfly-winged fairy image that I Mod-podged to the wood. It's one of my favorite projects this go around; I really liked the moody Fall flair in the image, and I feel it really made the cutting board pop. I added a copper painted frame around the fairy and some antique metal buttons and added earthy crystals on wire from another reclaimed project. Finally, I finished it up with maroon vegetation and antiqued a velvet pumpkin to glue to the top. I think it looks great, what do you all think? • The next one was a stump piece, made from thrift store crafting wood. I glued another piece of fall imagery to it: a raven keeping watch over its nest, which also came from Temu. I antiqued the stump with gel stain to give it that dark fall flavor and made a 3-D effect with some twigs from the yard and added a maroon feather from an older project, and some antiqued raffia that colored in gel stain. I finished it with another antiqued pumpkin for another 3-D effect, and to complement the orange pumpkins in the picture. I liked making it, and using real wood from my yard was not only free, but it added a personalized style to it. • Next was a project I've been holding on to for a while, a cabin I thrifted from a church garage sale earlier in the year. It started off nice, made from real wood and having a very rustic vibe to it, but I felt that I could one-up it by adding more real wood to it, again from my yard. I glued leaves to the tree to make it more Fall and added store bought rocks to the chimney to make it look more realistic and give it a more natural pop. We have a lot of stone chimney cabins in my area, after all. Then I added a pathway and a fire pit in the front of the house and used sticks to make the fire really stand out. I used yellow and orange leaves to make a creative but totally safe fire. A dirty pumpkin and moss were added to finish it up, and a rusty star at the top of the cabin. I love the idea of outdoor cabins such as this one, and really like how it all turned out. • ‪@RusticLaceDIY‬ • ‪@CountryLilyDIYDecor‬ • ‪@DeVyneDeZynz‬ • PLAYLIST •    • WHAT WOOD YOU MAKE 7/28/24   • [email protected] • Instagram: craftssimplyblessed
