How to Remove Shine from Magazine images

This is a tutorial on how I remove the shine from my magazine or shiny book images to use in Junk Journaling. • I use either Ranger Collage Medium, or Liquitex Matte Medium or Liquitex Matte Varnish. All work, but have some slight differences. The Matte varnish is water resistant, so once coated with that you won’t be able to coat with say watercolor, and inks may not dry as well. • The Matte Medium is made to paint on, so a good choice if you plan to color or ink. • The Ranger Collage medium is kind of between the other two as far as taking paints.
