Building a life-sized Horse out of beach DRIFTWOOD! • On a remote stretch of the Sonoma County coast, I embarked on a journey to bring a life-sized horse to life—crafted entirely from driftwood shaped by the sea. With no prior experience working with driftwood, I had no certainty of the outcome, only a vision and the patience to see it through. Over the course of two days, I carefully pieced together the sculpture, letting the wood’s natural forms guide me. And when it was complete, I returned it to the elements, dismantling my creation and surrendering it back to nature. This fleeting masterpiece remains one of the most exhilarating sculptures I’ve ever made. #driftwoodart #sculpture #horse • Want to commission a permanent driftwood sculpture?
