Today, I'm going to be showing you how to install the Recon Tailgate Bar. So the first thing we're going to do is actually clean the area where the light bar is going to be mounted with this alcohol pad that they supply you. • Okay, after we have cleaned off the area where it's going to mounted, the light bar is mounted with 3M tape, so what we're going to do before we remove the backing of the tape, is just to make sure we get our light bar centered up. So, once we have it lined up on where we want our bar placed, we can then remove the 3M tape off the back, and now we're going to stick the light bar right in there. Do not apply a lot of pressure at this time, and make sure you keep it as low as possible when it is backed up in here. The nice thing about these light bars is there's no drilling, no bolting anything up. It just applies right on with the 3M tape. It's all centered up. Then, press it on nice and firmly. • Okay, now after you've applied the light bar, all you have to do is plug in to your four-prong trailer hitch plug. Now, if you have a four-pin, a flat pin, or a seven-pin, you can buy different adapters for that. Okay, so what I did is I fished the wire back down behind the bumper. So, we can go ahead and plug it in now. And after you've plugged it in, you can just go ahead and use a zip tie or something to hide your wires backed up behind the bumper. 866-554-0581 Free shipping for orders over $100!
