Batman: Arkham Origins stands on the shoulders of giants. They're not my words, they're the words of its developer - WB Montreal. It's more Batman, Batman with multiplayer, a younger, rawer, hungrier Batman lost in a cloak of vengeance. It has the most interesting character writing in the franchise, some setpieces that are some of Arkham's best, and some really cool ideas. In a vacuum, it's a belter of a video game, but it didn't release in a vacuum.
