(1 Jan 1978) RR 7529B: SCILLIES : TREASURE HUNT • • In December 1798, a 1600 ton man-o- war, returning to England after the battle of the Nile was lashed by a fierce south - easterly gale. The 600 people aboard, many of them wounded from the battle, clung to the rigging all night until help came. All but one of them was rescued but much of a unique collection of priceless Greek and Roman antiques was lost.
