The HMS Bounty is one of the most famous cases of mutinies in history. Its captain, William Bligh became renowned for the revolt he provoked on board his ship. In the books and movies that followed, captain Bligh was shown as a ruthless captain and was at fault for the mutiny that took place. But what if I told you that he wasn't as bad as people think, and that in fact he was one of the most lenient captains in the Royal navy?
