In this video, I make an easy toad in the hole. It’s a great recipe where you bake some sausages in a Yorkshire pudding batter. • Recipe: https://cookingperfected.com/toad-in-... • You don’t need any extras to go with this dish as it is excellent on its own. However, with that said, I recommend making a delicious gravy to pour over the top. It does complete this dish. Any gravy will work just fine. • There are a ton of side dishes that go great with this dish. For example, cauliflower mash is a great side dish that compliments the meal well. Even a warm mash potato and some peas go great. • If you require a list of ingredients for this tasty recipe, then you can find one right below. These are all mentioned in the video, but the list does come in handy if you need to buy some ingredients. • 2 Tbsp. oil • 500g (1 lb.) thick pork or beef sausages • ¾ cup plain flour • ½ tsp. salt • 2 eggs • 1 ¼ cups milk • In the video, I bake the sausages, but you can fry them instead. The rest of the recipe will still need to be baked. • This easy toad in the hole recipe is excellent if you need to use up some sausages. You can use frozen sausages, but I highly recommend that you defrost them first, so by the end of baking they will be cooked. • You can use either thick of thin sausages, but for the best result, I recommend that you use thick. Thicker sausages have a lesser chance of overcooking and becoming dry. • I hope that this video has shown you all the steps to making this easy toad in the hole recipe.
