Here Sraddhalu continues the discussion of Sri Aurobindo's The Life Divine by continuing to read from the chapter entitled: Rebirth and Other Worlds; Karma, the Soul and Immortality . Sri Aurobindo uses the simile of a tree adapting to the elemental forces, and also develops the simile of a seed that has all potentialities within it. In the last 2/3rds of the talk Sraddhalu expounds on the law of rebirth that deprives us of the memory of past lives as cosmic wisdom, serving the evolutionary purpose. Sraddhalu gives many examples of how the predominate society, in its crudeness, turns us toward our surface personality and makes it difficult for us to open to the psychic presence within.
