Dartmoor is one of the UK's oldest national parks, with a landscape shaped by ice ages and human activity dating back thousands of years. A road trip along the moors unveils a captivating landscape of rolling hills, granite tors, and vast open spaces. This pristine wilderness is home to a rich diversity of wildlife, from the elusive Dartmoor pony to vibrant birdlife, including buzzards and peregrine falcons. You'll also encounter charming woodlands, babbling streams, and the mysterious Wistman's Wood, draped in moss and ancient legends. • The moor is famous for its granite tors, natural rock formations that dot the landscape, some of which have peculiar shapes and names, like Hound Tor and Bowerman's Nose.
