The Pastrami open face sandwich is a tradition to eat in Denmark for either lunch or dinner. Our family loves the Danish open face pastrami sandwich. To give the pastrami sandwich a twist we make a homemade horseradish topping ( peberrod sauce ) for the sandwich. (Check out our easy homemade horseradish topping recipe!) When we have a Danish celebration, we traditionally have Danish beer with the pastrami sandwich and say say Skål frequently!
