Elisabeth Of Franc - Martyred Sister Of Louis XVI: Élisabeth Philippe Marie Hélène de France, known as Madame Élisabeth, was born on May 3, 1764 in Versailles. She died by guillotine on May 10, 1794 in Paris. Élisabeth is the eighth and last child of the Dauphin Louis Ferdinand and Marie-Josèphe de Saxony. She is the sister of King Louis XVI of France, to whom she gave her unwavering support during the French Revolution. • Elisabeth was imprisoned with the royal family in 1792 and after being put on trial, she was executed on May 10, 1794.
