PRODUCED BY THE ONE OF A KIND DISCO MASTER, PATRICK ADAMS (1950-2022)!!! • Châtelaine is the stage name of Jocelyn Pruneau, a Québécoise singer who was born on 13 October 1953 in Shawinigan, Québec, Canada. She started her career as early as 1977 and released two albums, both of which had just her stage name. She got famous for this song, Corps à corps , which is essentially a cover of Raffaella Carra's song A far l'amore comincia tu and was a bit of a household name in her province, racking up television appearances there and made more records and scoring other hits, until the disco style wasn't fashionable anymore. So, she turned toward country and western music and paused her career by 1986. Eventually, she did return to singing in 2001, embracing the songs she was initially associated with, and is still active today, as far as I know. • Tracklist: • 00:00 Classic • 06:38 Turn Up Your Radio • 10:38 Take Me • 15:33 Stand (Sly and the Family Stone cover) • 21:01 Living Life In The Fast Lane • Personnel: • Châtelaine - vocals • Pete Warner, Denise Davis - songwriting, producing, backing vocals • Charisse Davis - backing vocals • Patrick Adams (1950-2022) - songwriting, producing • Gilles Gravel - executive producer • This was uploaded because the CD versions from the compilation album Corps À Corps as released by Disques Mérite are incomplete or offered only as a radio edit, meaning they are missing some parts. This upload attempts to use full versions of these songs, never mind the quality, where available. • Text incorporated from: • https://lachansonfrancaise.net/2015/05/29/...
