Let's explore the future of driving together! • ======================= • Quick reflection of XPeng G6 after driving a few days around Singapore: • a) XPeng G6 is a fat vehicle with extremely huge side mirrors. (1) Unfortunately, most of Singapore's car park lots are designed for tiny vehicles with columns that are located next to the lots. I came close to hitting the side mirror when I tried to do manual parking, (2) Some drivers couldn't park their vehicles in the middle of their lots, so I'm thankful for the remote control to move the XPeng G6 out of the tight gap between vehicles. • b) XPeng G6 has lots of bells and whistles, literally. Lots of warning beeps and tones the moment I'm in the driver seat. I might turn off some of these warnings, but meanwhile I'll try to adapt and pick up the important ones. • c) XPeng G6 has lots of options for controlling the steering wheel, driving, braking modes, etc... and hence potentially thousands of different permutations. So it can be quite overwhelming to have so many choices. Eventually, the standard mode for all options seems to work quite well for me, for now. • d) XPeng G6 LCC and ACC mode is a godsend. I enjoyed driving on the expressway without touching the accelerator and brake pedals, just hands on the steering wheels and the left signal arms to tell XPeng to change lane. What didn't work quite well is that XPeng is still not adapted to the ways most Singapore vehicles behaved on the road; e.g. XPeng couldn't always execute the lane change whenever it sensed sudden change in direction and speed by other road users. • #xpeng #xpengg6 #ev #singapore #unboxing #unboxingvideo
