Organophosphate compounds are use as insecticide and are extremely poisonous as they can cause cholinergic crisis, such agents are use for suicidal and homicidal purposes. Toxicity with these agents can cause increase in muscarinic and nicotinic effects. pralidoxime is use for reactivation of AChE before aging of enzyme. It can reverse the peripheral effects, not the central effects. It is not effective to overcome reversible AChE inhibitors. Atropine is use to prevent muscarinic effects.
