In 2011, MTV's Teen Wolf introduced the characters Stiles Stilinski and Derek Hale, birthing-- ostensibly unintentionally-- a gay shipping phenomenon: Sterek. Over the following 12 years, a tempestuous saga would unfold, complete with age gap discourse, semi-debateable queerbait, and complicated feelings about that jeep.
