This species is best known for its impressive gliding capabilities, using extensive webbing between its toes to create a parachute-like effect, allowing it to leap distances of up to 15 meters (50 feet) between trees. During the breeding season, females lay their eggs in a foam nest, which they create by whipping a fluid into foam with their hind legs. The foam protects the eggs until they hatch, and the tadpoles drop into the water below to continue their development.
