#seasons #summer #ngscience • Learn about some of the changes that occur as the seasons change from spring to summer. • Throughout the year regular changes occur in the weather. There are changes in the amount of sunlight, temperature, rain and snow fall. • These repeating cycle of weather patterns are called seasons. In one year, there are four seasons – winter, spring, summer and fall. • The seasons change as the Earth moves around the Sun. • In the last video, I told you about my favourite season - Spring. In this video we'll take a quick look at the season that follows.....Summer. • As the season changes from spring to summer, the weather continues to get warmer and the hours of sunlight increases each day. The hottest and longest days of the year occur in Summer until they reach a maximum. Towards the end of Summer the weather gradually becomes cooler and the days shorter again. • The hot weather usually means people spend more time outdoors, going to the beach, having picnics and playing sports. • Animals are usually more active in the Summer time. They spend more time hunting, breeding and interacting with their environment. • The abundance of warmth and sunlight provide ideal conditions for plants to grow and produce fruits. • As fall, or as I call it Autumn approaches, the weather gets cooler and the days get shorter. You can learn more about fall in our related videos.
