This is my 14 ft jon boat casting deck. Three years old. Simple, removable, and lightweight. Get some ideas for your build as I take my casting deck off my 1436 alumacraft and go through it. Learn why I built it the way I did and the hidden features of it! • Casting Deck Quick Features: • 1/2 plywood (regular cheap plywood) • 1 x2 and 1 x3 (regular cheap wood) lighter than 2 x4 s • Assembled with stainless deck screws and wood glue • Painted with outdoor paint (nothing special. Just outdoor exterior paint that is water-resistant/proof) its lasted 3 years so it works • Boat- 1436 Alumacraft (would not recommend it. I would rather have a tracker) • Engine - Predator 13hp 420cc engine (#60349) paired with a Swamp Runner longtail mud motor. (Swamp Runner Medium Kit) • Jon Boat Amazon Shop by JTG - https://www.amazon.com/shop/jtgatorin... • An older video that goes over the deck - • Removable Light Weight Deck - Jon boa... • Article on the website that has some pictures - https://www.jtgatoring.com/2017-aluma... • Visit the JTgatoring store on Amazon for product lists ideas for your next outing - https://www.amazon.com/shop/jtgatoring • • If you'd like to make my day and help support JTgatoring here's a few things you could do that are organized from easiest to most helpful. • 1.
