To make sure your CPG griddle is properly operated and cared for, follow a few simple steps. For operation, properly connect the griddle to a gas line and then turn the indicated knobs as directed to light up the pilot flame. Get the top hot to burn off the oil left from manufacturing and clean the plate. To clean, scrape the griddle while hot and then turn off the pilot lights. Next you will spray blast cleaner, scrub, rinse off with water, and drain. Finally, wipe the surface down and coat the top in oil and it is ready to use. Chrome griddles follow a similar process, by cleaning when the top is still hot, scraping the griddle surface clean of heavy residue, then pouring water or chrome cleaner on and scrubbing with a non-scratching brush. Once done, wipe off and polish the surface then rinse with water and it is ready to go. After each weekly cleaning, make sure to season the griddle. Properly operating and caring for your CPG griddles is key for long term use and maintaining optimal performance.
