#Montana #Middlefork #flatheadlake #rafting • It was the Middle Fork of the Flathead River. It borders Glacier National Park from Flathead County, NW Montana. We floated from the village of West Glacier to Blankenship Bridge where the Middle Fork joins the North Fork. Then several miles down stream they join the South Fork and become Flathead River. All 3 forks remain quite cold even through Summer. Flathead River drains into Flathead Lake at Bigfork and drains out of Flathead Lake approx 30 south at Polson. Flathead Lake is the largest fresh water lake in the USA west of the Mississippi River.
