Wildfire Preparedness Week: Home Hardening Demonstration Burn • Today, CAL FIRE’s Office of the State Fire Marshal (OSFM) partnered with the Insurance Institute for Business and Home Safety (IBHS) to demonstrate the life-saving benefits of home hardening and defensible space. • During the demonstration burn, two homes were showcased side-by-side: one built with proper Zone 0 defensible space and home hardening measures, and one without.
