A lively round and great calypso rhythm; accompany with percussion. The festival of Junkanoo is celebrated in the Bahamas and Jamaican at Christmas time. The festivities include street parades with singers, dancers, and people playing instruments – drums, bells, and flutes. The singers and dancers wear masks, such as the faces of cows and sheep. • This song was written by the talented musician, Jan Holstock when she visited the Bahamas in the 1970s to support teachers learning how to teach music.
