Stephen Emil Harris (1886-1950), or better known as Faan Harris, is today considered one of the greats in traditional boeremusiek for the fluent way in which he played the concertina. His band was called the Vier Transvalers (Four Transvalers), and together they made 20 recordings (10 78RPM albums) under the His Master's Voice label (between 3 and 10 October, 1932).
