Scotland Island of Gigha - An Island belonging to the Community • We were on the Mull of kintyre and was searching the map and found this beautiful Island. • Gigha or the Isle of Gigha is an island off the west coast of Kintyre in Scotland. The island forms part of Argyll and Bute and has a population of 163 people. The climate is mild with higher than average sunshine hours and the soils are fertile. The main settlement is Ardminish • You can get the ferry over and return by foot for £5.50 each, taking a car or camper is about £25 return so a good price. It takes about 20 minutes for the ferry to cross. • You can park your car/van/ bike etc over at the ferry terminal for free. You pay on return. • Give this little Island a visit.
