NOTE: Set gear icon to play highest resolution. • Gouache is a very versatile medium, it dries fast, is rewettable, offers bright matte colors, and can look very much like an oil painting. Brush strokes can show nicely, layers underneath, and nice soft edges. Try it, you might very well like it. I choose it as my primary medium because (Da Vinci) gouache is non-toxic, the entire line. The tubes are twice the size of other manufacturer's gouache, yet the same cost..that's twice as much paint for your money, folks! It's very important to keep my studio green, for health's sake and so that I don't leave a toxic footprint on our planet. • Painting on matboard, once it's sealed or gessoed, is a wonderful surface. I have a stack of over 200 of them and love to paint in oils or gouache on them. The black ones are fun, too.
