By using the Phone Link application from Microsoft, you can access and send iMessages directly from your Windows PC, streamlining your workflow and keeping all your communications in one place. You can also make and receive phone calls, and see your iPhone's notifications, all on your Windows computer. This solution is completely free and easy to set up. • Step 1. Navigate to your Windows home screen, click the Start Menu icon, and then search for Phone Link. Click to open the Phone Link app. The Phone Link app opens. • Step 2. Navigate to the Select Your Device section, and then click iPhone. The next screen prompts you to scan a QR code on your iPhone to pair your device via Bluetooth. • Step 3. Use your iPhone's camera to scan the QR code. A window pops up prompting you to pair your devices. Tap Open in this window. A Pair Devices screen is displayed on your iPhone, letting you know that Phone Link requires access to your calls, messages and notifications from your PC. Tap Continue. A window pops up letting you know that Link to Windows would like to use Bluetooth. Tap Allow. A Bluetooth Pairing Request window opens telling you that your Windows computer would like to pair with your iPhone. Find the 6-digit code in this message, and then confirm that the same code is displayed on your computer. Tap Pair on your iPhone, and then click Pair in the Phone Link app on your computer. • Step 4. A window pops up on your iPhone asking if you want your Windows computer to receive your iPhone notifications. Tap Allow. Now, pivot back over to the Phone Link app on your computer. • Step 5. The next screen lets you know that your iPhone is paired with your Windows computer, but your computer needs permission to sync with your iPhone's content. To do this, open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap Bluetooth, find the name of your Windows computer and then tap the I icon next to it. Tap to toggle on Show Notifications. The next screen in the Phone Link app on your computer lets you know that your iPhone is now successfully fully paired with your Windows computer. Click Continue. You'll land on a Welcome to Phone Link screen. • Step 6. In this example, I'll click to enable Phone Link to open when I log in to Windows, and then I'll click Get Started. After a few seconds the screen will change to show information associated with notifications, messages and phone calls on your iPhone. Additionally, as you receive new messages, phone calls and notifications on your iPhone, you'll see alerts on your Windows computer, and you can see and respond to them using the Phone Link app.
