Dhanushkodi is a ghost town at the south-eastern tip of Pamban Island of the Tamil Nadu state of India. Dhanushkodi is situated to the South-East of Pamban. Danushkodi is about 18 miles (29 km) West of Talaimannar in Sri Lanka. The Dhanushkodi railway line running from Pamban Station was destroyed in the 1964 cyclone and a passenger train with over 100 passengers drowned in the sea. • According to Hindu mythology, this is the place from where the Hindu god Rama built a bridge, across the sea to Lanka to rescue his wife Sita from her abductor Ravana. The Ramanathaswamy Temple dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva is located at the centre of the town and is closely associated with Rama. • • view more videos : • Travel Kerala • Subscribe now, for more videos : https://www.youtube.com/c/crazyalieno... • Website : https://traveltrends360.wordpress.com/ • Blog : https://amazingvloggers.blogspot.in/ • Google plus : https://plus.google.com/+Crazyalienof... • Facebook : / traveltrends360
