I wanted to re-visit mercenary laborers, and how they might possibly be the best laborer in the game depending on how you like to play. They are by far the easiest laborer to consistently have journals filled and at the ready. They give you raw silver, which is far, far more useful early on a fresh start server. The fact you can fill hundreds of journals in minutes means you can scale your earnings far faster than any other gathering type of laborer. The only way to make more profit with any other laborer is to do very complex math and craft, which can be very costly.
