With the evolving nature of combat, the Armaments Bureau’s Factory 205 has developed a new T112 combat rifle for frontline ground forces. It is set to officially enter service in 2025, replacing the current T91 rifle. The T112 features significant upgrades in design and shooting accuracy. Let’s check out the performance of the brand-new T112 rifle together and experience it in action. • The new rifle features significant enhancements in both design and accuracy. • Wu Wen-yi • FTV Reporter • You can see that even though I have no experience at all, with the help of the aiming aids, I still managed to hit 3 out of 5 shots. • The T112 combat rifle has an effective range increased from 400 meters to 600 meters compared to the previous T91 model. Additionally, the barrel lifespan has been extended from 6,000 rounds to 10,000 rounds. It also incorporates ergonomic design, allowing both right- and left-handed shooters to use it effectively. • Lin Hsin-i • Armaments Bureau Factory 205 • This new rifle absorbs shock better, it’s more accurate, and because of the ergonomic design, the grip is also much more adjustable. • In addition, the newly developed ballistic plates were showcased. They’re capable of resisting the PLA’s 5.8mm steel core bullets, enhancing the protection for Taiwan’s military personnel. • Defense Minister Wellington Koo recently proposed the policy goal of enhancing individual soldier equipment.
