The 18-foot 7-inch Guider is a rugged, fast, rowing-sailing boat. The pivoting centerboard is cut from aluminum plate, and lead ballast is carried in the bilges. There's plenty of room for two adults to sleep in the 6'6 long cockpit. • The Guider is built from a Chesapeake Light Craft kit. Construction is intended for builders who are comfortable with stitch-and-glue boatbuilding, epoxy, and fiberglass.
