But there are also a lot of misconceptions and risks to trading penny stock investments. • That’s why I’m doing this video! We’ve done lots of guides on how to pick penny stocks and stock trades but never a complete all-in-one video for beginners. • I’ll start with a quick penny stock definition and this is actually going to surprise a lot of you out there. The truth is, penny stocks aren’t just about the price of the shares. In fact, price has nothing to do with it. I’ll explain why and show you a few penny stock examples. • Then I’ll lay out the pros and cons of penny stock investing. Penny stock trading is great for those huge returns but there’s also some big risks you need to know about. For example, a lot of these stocks are traded on the pink sheets or OTC market. There’s less oversight and regulation here and so also a lot more fraud and scammers. You’ll have to do your homework if you want to invest in these penny stocks. • But it’s still one of the best investments you can make for returns. Most investors don’t have access to the pre-IPO markets like venture capital or angel investing so investing in these small, fast-growing companies is the next best thing. • I’ll also show you the difference between penny stock trading and investing…and this is hugely important! Most investors don’t go into their penny stock trades with a strategy and they lose money. I’ll show you the two ways to invest in penny stocks and then give you some penny stock trading strategies to guide you.
