Learn how to composite Open EXR Passes with Z Depth from Maya and V-Ray in After Effects in order to create a spaceship flying through fog. The plate and passes we are using are available below. This includes the beauty pass, global illumination (GI), lighting, specular, reflection, self-illumination, ambient occlusion, and z-depth. Use the Set Matte effect to use the z depth pass to create a sense of atmospheric perspective. Along the way, we'll be using a reference to help guide our color correction. • Download the files here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1o01... • Download the ship model by CGPitbull: https://www.turbosquid.com/3d-models/... • Join the Discord server! / discord • Portfolio: http://lindenstirk.com/ • Artstation: https://www.artstation.com/cgstirk • Patreon: / cgstirk • #cgstirk #vfxartist #vfxtutorial
