This video shows a schematic situation of reinforcement steel in concrete in a beaker. The steel is placed in a Ca(OH)2 solution and a counter electrode is given to measure potential between the steel and the counter electrode is measured. Afterwards, chloride induced corrosion is started and potential drop can be observed. • This is part of the Open Educational Resources Initiative by the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the RWTH Aachen University. • For further information visit: www.fb3.rwth-aachen.de • This video (without music) and intro are licensed under Creative Commons 4.0 International BY the Faculty of Civil Engineering RWTH Aachen University. • This video (with music) and intro are licenced under Creative Commons 4.0 International BY-SA the Faculty of Civil Engineering RWTH Aachen University. • For further information visit: www.creativecommons.org • Global OER Logo“ CC BY 3.0 Jonathas Mello . • Music: • Venice Beach CC 3.0 BY-SA Topher Mohr Alexa Elena • (https://instrumentalfx.co/topher-mohr... ). • Thanks for watching!
