Gameplay footage by Faz: • Qadistu Naamah Boss Fight - Shin Mega... • This is a cover of Battle Qadištu by Ryota Kozuka from Shin Megami Tensei V Vengeance. I have remade the track in the style of Shoji Meguro's rock battle tracks around the PS2 era of SMT games, as if Shin Megami Tensei V Vengeance released on the PS2 in the mid to late 2000s. • If you want to send in a commission or get in contact, please email me at [email protected] • If any one word can be used to describe this track, it’s “evil”. A very unnerving melody topped off with very vicious sound design gives this track its unique charm, which fits the Qadištu perfectly. While this isn’t really a feeling I get from any of Shoji Meguro’s PS2 tracks, I wanted to maintain it for this cover, while mixing it with those iconic heavy guitars. I tried to avoid using too many acoustic instruments and used plenty of synths, DDS2 style. I figured that the vocal chops in the original track wouldn’t match this style, so I opted for some samples from old sample CDs to fill the gap. • Thanks again to the Persona Sound Resource, I have managed to get ahold of the piano plugin that Meguro has used since the PS2 era, New York Concert Grand Piano by Native Instruments.
