Just the perfect amount of aging toner in the sunburst finish; the right color green guard pickguard; great resonance (this guitar is very resonant and is easily heard even when not plugged-in); aged pickup covers; medium jumbo frets; nice medium weight - all these add up to make for a great guitar. • I can't help but stress how much the guitar's inherent body and neck resonance is driving the tone of this guitar. To get a strat with this much resonance sometimes requires mixing and matching necks and bodies (like Eric Clapton did to get Blackie ) • Maple neck with deep C profile. Rosewood fingerboard dot inlays. Kluson Deluxe style tuners. One treble string tree. Medium-Jumbo frets. 5-way selector switch, with one Volume and 2 Tone knobs. The pickguard and all knobs are aged just the right amount. Alder Sunburst Body. • There is almost no signs of prior ownership on this guitar. • Everything is original except the pickups. The pickups were replaced with early '60's style McCon-O-Wah Bell Tone hand-wound pickups. These great sounding hand made pickups cost $300 before installation. Back plate is missing. Comes with a hard case. • Christopher Gray is playing into a handmade Big Fork Tweed Champ.
