Sikkens Cetol TSI Satin Plus Interior Varnish is a solvent borne lacquer that is quick and easy to apply. • https://www.wood-finishes-direct.com/... • Designed for use on smooth wooden surfaces, it's ideal for internal doors, architraves, skirting boards and other interior fixtures and fittings. It is resistant to knocks and spills. • For Bare wood preparation you need to degrease any exposed timber surface by wiping with a cloth dampened with methylated spirits. Certain timber species contain high levels of natural wood extractive or exudates and some softwoods can be highly resinous. Resinous deposits will needt to be removed with a scraper. Any remaining residues should be removed with a lint-free cloth dampened with methylated spirits, frequently changing the face of the cloth. Allow solvent to evaporate fully before over-coating. • The use of both eye and hand protection is strongly advised. • Maintenance of existing coatings • Lightly sand with a fine grade abrasive paper. If the timber has been stained, avoid sanding back to the underlying stain. Remove all sanding dust thoroughly and apply 1 or 2 coats of Cetol TSI Satin plus. • Application • It is important to always do a test area before starting any project to test adhesion and final finish. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the tin at all times. • Sikkens Cetol TSI Satin Plus should be brush applied and is not suitable for spray application. For best results use a good quality, long haired soft bristle brush. • Note: Moisture of timber to be coated should not exceed 14%. Only apply in temperatures ranging between 5℃ to 30℃. • Ensure that the Sikkens TSI Lacquer is stirred thoroughly before and during application to ensure a consistent finish. Cetol TSI Satin plus is supplied ready for use from the tin and does not require thinning. • Sikkens Varnish products should be applied in a full flowing coat, working in the direction of the grain, using the minimum number of brush strokes necessary to produce an acceptable finish. Avoid over brushing, as this will produce brush marks and a poor quality finish. • Equipment Cleaning • Application brushes should be cleaned immediately after use with a good quality brush cleaner or White Spirit. • Storage • Keep tin sealed and in an upright position at all times, in a dry well ventilated place at temperatures between 5℃ - 30℃.
