City of Peoria ⇨ DaDee Mantis Front Loader Garbage Truck

The City of Peoria currently owns one of two Mantis front loaders (produced by DaDee Manufacturing here in Phoenix), in Maricopa County. The other is owned by Sickles Sanitation in Wickenburg, AZ. After seeing this truck before on the freeway, and also seeing a photo, I was determined to record some video of this beast, and introduce it all to you with proper documentation. On January 2, 2014 in Sun City, Arizona I spotted this truck luckily turning in to service a dumpster. I was able to follow it around for about an hour and a half recording dumpster after dumpster around Peoria. The driver was extremely professional, and friendly, and top notch all around. Very courteous in allowing me to park, and get out to record the unit at each stop so a huge, huge thank you to him (he deserves a raise Peoria!). • This Mantis front loader is unique in comparison to others. Featuring a full ejection body, this truck has a piviotal point at the bottom of the blade that goes back after the ejection cycle to get any loose debris behind the packer, ensuring the driver doesn't have to get behind the blade at all. With very simple controls (one joystick for the entire fork cycles), and an easy access lubrication system, this maybe one of the best modern front loaders currently in the 21st Century.
