Strowger full system final testing

This is the final phase of testing for the Salford Strowger demonstrator. See http://www.cntr.salford.ac.uk/comms/s... for further details. The system is complete and ready to receive its first phone call. Note how when the handset is lifted (off-hook) you can hear the uniselector connected to that phone rotate until it finds a free first group selector. Then, as each of the four digits is dialled, the first and then • the second group selector move, followed by the final selector which responds to the last two digits dialled. At that point the call is routed through and the dialled telephone rings. When the handset of that phone is lifted, the voice circuit is connected. Finally, the system clears once the handset of telephone that initiated the call is returned to the on-hook position.
