Today I am replacing my alternator in my 2005 BMW 645Ci due to the system having some intermittent issues and the alternator not charging the battery efficiently. The process only took about 45 minutes start to finish, the main struggle being when you have to put the new alternator onto the bracket and the mounts not lining up but other than that it is pretty straight forward.
