Hopefully this video helps get you set up really quickly using Lock view. The main reason lock view doesn't work is its initial configuration isn't correct or there is a module conflct. • Timestamps: • 00:00 Intro • 01:39 Step 1 - configure lockview • 03:34 Random Cough I didn't edit out for some reason • 03:37 Step 1 continued • 03:58 Step 2 - configure the scene • 06:20 Why does it still not work? (UI mods) • Below is a text version of these steps for anyone who doesn't want to watch the video. • ---- • Step 1: All this assumes you have no modules except Lockview, find the culprit and maybe tidy ui - game settings • In the game settings - Module settings - Lock View - user configuration: • Control means that players screen will be controlled by lockview. • viewbox means you will be able to see that players view box on your screen - assuming your screen isn't also locked. • You want control selected for any player who you want to lock their screen. When I am troubleshooting, I just lock the GM screen. • Step 2 • In the Scene settings (right click your scene - configure) you want to go over to the 'lock view' tab. My settings are: • Lock pan selected • Lock Zoom selected • Autoscale = Automatic Fit (outside) (This basically stops you needing to faff with screen width in the module settings). • Exclude sidebar (this means it will fit the scene image in, without the sidebar obscuring the scene image). • Everthing else default. • If you're still having trouble getting this to work, it is likely you have a UI module that is conflicting. For me Ernies Modern UI was what conflicted. Turning this off fixed my issues.
