RetroTINK 2X Does Not Work with 32X and Genesis Combo

This is a followup to my first vid, detailing the color issues I encountered upon using the RetroTINK2X (tink) and my Sega Genesis. You can view the first video here: • RetroTINK: Broken or Break-In Period • I did further testing and am convinced the tink has problems when used with a Sega Genesis model 2 + 32X + composite cable. • If the issues I detailed in this video were discovered earlier, maybe the tink's creator Mike Chi could have corrected for them before the wave of pre-orders I was included within was sent to customers. • I realized in hindsight the reviews I saw last Summer which convinced me to pre-order the tink failed me in several ways. They either only tested the tink with model 1 Genesis hardware, used only Retrovision cables, or didn't test Sega hardware at all. • I found only one recent review published in the last month which included a composite cable + model 2 Genesis + 32X use case. That review was posted by a channel which posts a lot of reviews per month, many of which do not relate to retro gaming. I suspect testing and use of the composite cables on a LCD may be sparse with that reviewer, especially since the reviewer purchased Retrovision component cables for use with their Sega / tink setup. • • Music • Hold HOME (soundcloud.com), • Licensed under Creative Commons: BY Attribution 4.0 • http://creativecommons.org/licenses/b...
