A culinary delight awaits! • #DhabaStyleDaalMash #DaalMash #SooperChef • Dhaba Style Daal Mash Fry • Ingredients for daal mash: • Daal mash (Black lentil skinless soaked) 3 cups • Water as required • Turmeric powder 1 tsp • Salt 1 tsp • Oil 1/2 cup • Ginger (julienne) 1/4 cup • Garlic (chopped) 1 tbsp • Green chilies 3-4 • Whole red button chilies 87-8 • Tomato puree 1 cup • Red chili flakes 1 tbsp • Turmeric powder 1 tsp • Salt 1 tsp • Cumin powder 1 tbsp • Red chili powder 1 tbsp • Coriander powder 1 tbsp • Yogurt 1 cup • Dried fenugreek 1 tbsp • Lemon juice 1 tbsp • Green chilies (for garnishing) as required • Green coriander (for garnishing) as required • Ginger (Julienne) as required • Directions: • 1. In a pot heat water and add turmeric powder, salt and bring it to a boil. • 2. Add soaked daal and boil until its 80% done. • 3. In a pan heat oil and add garlic, sauté it for 30 seconds. Then add green chilies, red whole chilies and ginger. Fry it for a minute. • 4. Add tomato puree in it and cook for 2-3 mins. • 5. Now add red chili flakes, turmeric powder, salt, cumin powder, red chili powder and coriander powder. Cook for a minute. • 6. Now add yogurt and cook for 1-2 mins. • 7. Add boiled daal mash, dried fenugreek, lemon juice and cook until daal gets fully tender and oil separates. • 8. Now add coriander, green chili and ginger and mix it well. • 9. Your Dhaba Style Daal Mash Fry is ready. • Preparation time: 5 minutes • Cooking time: 30 minutes • Serving: 3-4
